Water Mission International reached out to Filmiamo and hired a videographer to travel to The Bahamas in December 2019 to document the destruction from Hurricane Dorian and how the non-profit responded. The video had a specific audience - to be shown at a 'thank you gala' to some of the non-profit's top donors who specifically gave to this disaster response.
Filmiamo was hired just 4 days before departing for The Bahamas, in which time they worked directly with the client to arrange travel logistics (plane, car and speedboat), develop a creative treatment and manage equipment for a shoot in an area with limited resources. On the ground, the videographer worked directly with local non-profit employees and volunteers to document the response and the impact it had on island residents.
Following the production, Filmiamo edited together a video specifically for the upcoming event, as well as a separate evergreen video for other promotional uses.
