Water Mission International reached out to Filmiamo and hired a videographer to travel to The Bahamas in December 2019 to document the destruction from Hurricane Dorian and how the non-profit responded. The video had a specific audience - to be shown at a 'thank you gala' for some of the non-profit's top donors, who specifically gave to this disaster response.
Filmiamo was hired just 4 days before departing for The Bahamas, in which time they worked directly with the client to arrange travel logistics (plane, car and speedboat), develop a creative treatment and manage equipment for a shoot in an area with limited resources. On the ground, the videographer worked directly with local non-profit employees and volunteers to document the response and the impact it had on island residents. Due to the nature of the project, limited transportation to the island, and the limited resources on the island in the aftermath of the hurricane, the content was captured utilizing limited gear.
Following the production, Filmiamo edited together a video specifically for the event, as well as a separate evergreen video for other promotional uses.
