A Year of Service

Production Story

Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation reached out to Filmiamo Productions to capture its inaugural class "graduating" of the Service Year Option — in which indivdiuals opt to take a year of civic service in a non-profit or professional setting.

Filmiamo had 3 videographers on site at Camden Yards to capture b-roll, interviews with participants and the graduation ceremony, featuring remarks from Maryland Governor Wes Moore.

Following the event, Filmiamo produced and edited a final recap video within 36 hours of the event's end. Filmiamo worked directly with Maryland DSCI staff throughout the process to ensure the video would come together correctly and quickly. Both a horizontal and vertical version of the video were required for various social media platforms.
